Job Summary
A local urgent care clinic in Murrells Inlet, SC is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Medical Assistant for a contract/temporary opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented CMA or RMA who enjoys working in a fast-paced clinical setting and wants to make a meaningful impact on patient care from check-in through discharge.
The Certified Medical Assistant will support providers with clinical care, patient intake, laboratory testing, phlebotomy, medication administration, EMR documentation, and front office support. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for provider visits by obtaining vital signs, documenting medical information, and updating records in the EMR system.
- Collect patient demographics, medical history, pharmacy details, prescription information, lab specimens, and occupational health data as needed.
- Perform phlebotomy, laboratory specimen collection, laboratory testing, and assist with medication administration as delegated by the provider.
- Support front desk operations by answering phones, updating patient information, and delivering professional customer service.
- Monitor patients for signs of distress, notify providers as appropriate, and help ensure a safe and efficient patient care experience.
- Maintain clean, stocked, and properly functioning exam rooms, equipment, and clinical work areas.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Schedule requirements include the ability to work 12-hour shifts and weekends.
- Must be willing to provide coverage at other clinic locations within the region as needed.
