Special Education Teacher - Jacksonville, FL

Step into a vital educational role supporting exceptional students as a self-contained ESE teacher. Serve one school (primarily elementary-aged, though there may be flexibility for other preferences) and collaborate closely with colleagues to foster an inclusive and adaptive classroom environment. Key qualifications:

• Valid Florida ESE certification
• K-6 or PK-3 General Education certificate
• Demonstrated experience in a self-contained classroom setting
• Strong ability to support students across a wide range of learning levels and exceptionalities
• Availability for on-site work in the Jacksonville area (please note: remote options are not available)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage and instruct a self-contained exceptional student education (ESE) classroom
• Develop, adapt, and implement individualized lesson plans to support each learner’s growth
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including IEPs and student progress
• Collaborate with families, staff, and other service providers to ensure holistic student support
• Foster a nurturing, structured, and positive classroom culture
