We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various manual machines to produce parts and ensuring their quality. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Operate horizontal and vertical milling machines, lathes, and radial manual machines, including drill taps, key seaters, and band saws to produce parts.
- Perform quality checks on parts produced to ensure they meet specifications.
- Use precision measuring devices and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Demonstrate operational knowledge of all machine shop machinery.
- Layout work to be performed and follow all safety rules.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in setting up and operating multiple machines, including horizontal and vertical milling machines.
- Ability to perform pattern and hole layouts for structural steel and fabricated parts.
- Experience with crane and forklift operations.
- Ability to operate an overhead crane and forklift.
- Maintain housekeeping in the work area.

Work Environment
This position operates in a machine shop environment and requires working the 3rd shift from 5pm to 5am. Employees should be comfortable with the physical demands and conditions typical of this type of workplace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spartanburg, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
