Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a meaningful contract position supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic educational setting near Euclid, OH. This opportunity spans from August 3, 2026, through June 25, 2027, for 40 hours each week within a forward-thinking dropout recovery and prevention program. The school serves “opportunity youth” ages 15–21, equipping them with flexible, self-paced academics, high school diplomas, and hands-on career and technical training for transition into stable careers.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • A valid Special Education Teaching license or eligibility in Ohio
  • Experience working with high school-aged students, particularly those from diverse or at-risk backgrounds
  • Strong understanding of instructional strategies tailored for varying abilities and learning styles
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver customized instruction to meet the needs of learners in a flexible, supportive environment
  • Design and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and communicate outcomes to all stakeholders
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and comply with all state/federal regulations
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create student-centered learning experiences
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom culture that motivates students and recognizes achievement
