Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist
Schedule\nDay shift: 5x8-hour schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with the possibility of an earlier start at 5:45 AM if required to have the patient ready by 7:00 AM. Call from home after 3 PM on weekdays and 24-hour coverage on weekends, approximately once a month.
Job Description\nWe are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist with a strong background in open heart procedures. The ideal candidate must demonstrate experience in cardiovascular surgeries and be proficient in various surgical techniques.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures and ensure a sterile environment. \n
- Prepare operating rooms and ensure the availability of necessary instruments and equipment. \n
- Support surgeons and staff during procedures, anticipating needs as they arise. \n
- Monitor and maintain a safe environment for patients before, during, and after procedures. \n
- Participate in patient education and preparation for surgery. \n
- \n
- Minimum of 3 years of CVOR experience, with open heart surgical experience preferred. \n
- Current BLS and CST certification required. \n
- Active PA or Compact license must be submitted at the time of application. \n
- Experience with electronic charting systems, preferably Cerner. \n
- Travel experience is required, and candidates must be open to floating within the hospital. \n
