American Traveler is hiring a Registered Echo Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment, requiring ARDMS or CCI credentials and experience in 2-D echo, TEE, and stress echocardiography.
Details- Cardiovascular diagnostic imaging department within an acute care hospital setting
- Patient population includes adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Procedures include 2-D echo with M-Mode, spectral and color flow Doppler, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), and stress echocardiography
- Additional cardiovascular diagnostic testing includes EKGs, event monitor applications, cardiac monitor applications, pulmonary function tests, lower extremity Doppler studies, and stress testing
- Day shift schedule
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Vascular/Echocardiography or Allied Health from an accredited institution
- ARDMS registration (or registry eligible) or CCI cardiovascular credentialing required
- ARRT and RVT certifications required
- BLS/BCLS required
- 1–2 years of echocardiography experience preferred
- Must pass position competencies including rhythm recognition
- Active state license required if applicable
- Ability to perform medium-level physical work, exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently
- Responsible for performing and documenting diagnostic ultrasound procedures, recording data in the EMR, and reporting life-threatening results to physicians immediately
- Performs equipment cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of cardiology equipment and accessories
- Participates in monthly cardiovascular meetings, CQI activities, and Six Sigma quality improvement initiatives
- May supervise and instruct students, and precept new employees
- Expected to uphold HIPAA guidelines in the management of all patient information
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required for collaboration with physicians, staff, patients, and families
