Job Description
Nuclear Medicine Technologist – PET/CT
Saint Francis Cancer Center is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist with strong PET imaging experience to join its oncology imaging team. This position is responsible for performing diagnostic Nuclear Medicine and PET procedures, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing exceptional patient care in a cancer center environment.
The ideal candidate will have extensive Nuclear Medicine experience, PET/CT expertise, prior travel experience, and experience working with Siemens imaging equipment and Epic EMR.
Responsibilities
Perform Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging procedures accurately and efficiently.
Prepare, administer, document, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to regulatory requirements.
Operate Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging equipment safely and effectively.
Position and prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
Perform equipment quality control testing and maintain regulatory compliance.
Document radioactive material receipt, storage, usage, and disposal according to NRC regulations.
Conduct room surveys, wipe tests, bioassays, and quality assurance activities.
Verify physician orders and schedule patient examinations.
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
Ensure patient safety and radiation safety standards.
Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, oncologists, and healthcare staff.
Maintain inventory and stock imaging supplies.
Cross-train in additional imaging modalities as needed.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology Program.
Minimum 5 years Nuclear Medicine experience.
PET/CT experience.
Minimum 1 year prior travel assignment experience.
Experience with Siemens imaging equipment.
Epic EMR experience.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Required Certifications
CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist)
OR
ARRT (N)
CPR/BLS Certification
Patterns Hiring Job ID #386-06. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
