American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for a General Sonography/Ultrasound position at a Level II Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency.
Details- Short-term acute care hospital setting within a Level II Trauma, teaching facility with 209 staffed beds
- General ultrasound/sonography unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- On-call required 1–3 nights per week
- Weekend coverage required on an occasional basis (days or nights)
- Charting is performed in Epic (experience required)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general ultrasound/sonography
- Active professional license required if applicable
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Current relevant certifications required (e.g., ARDMS or equivalent)
- Current BLS required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Scrubs are provided in sterile units (OR, ICU, ER, COVID); all other staff may wear any scrub color
- Parking is provided at no cost
- RTO should be minimal; all time-off requests must be disclosed prior to submission, as post-offer RTO requests may be denied
