Location: Hood River, Oregon
Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts with both day (07:00 - 17:00) and night (22:00 - 08:00) coverage available. Weekend coverage required. On-call responsibilities for overnight patient care. Block scheduling format. Pharmacist to patient ratio of 1:25.
Highlights:- Critical Access facility with Level III Trauma Center designation and 25 staffed beds
- Teaching hospital environment with diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Support services including Med Surg, Labor and Delivery, Outpatient Infusion, and Emergency Department
- Daily census of approximately 20 patients with 1,000 visits per day
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, and Rapid Response Teams
- Reduced non-billable orientation period for this assignment
- Active Oregon Pharmacist License (may submit with pending license)
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience
- Epic charting system experience required
- Inpatient/acute care pharmacy experience preferred
- Chemo/Hazardous Drug certification and Home Health Infusion skills
- Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing system
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
This 8-week travel assignment offers the opportunity to work in a picturesque Oregon community while gaining valuable experience in a critical access teaching facility. You'll work with a collaborative interdisciplinary team in a state-of-the-art Epic charting environment. The facility provides scrubs for clinical areas and offers no-cost parking, making your assignment as convenient as possible.
