Job Description
Location: Seward, AK
Duration: 26 Weeks
Schedule: Nights – 4x12 Hours
Hours: 48 Hours Weekly
- Traveler Pay: $40–$45/hr based on experience
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality patient care within a clinical healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will support physicians and Registered Nurses in delivering patient-centered care while performing clinical procedures, monitoring patient conditions, and assisting with daily healthcare operations.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of physicians and Registered Nurses
- Take and accurately record patient vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor medical procedures
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed
- Perform clinical tasks including wound care, dressing changes, and specimen collection
- Prepare patients for diagnostic testing and medical procedures
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and healthcare compliance protocols
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Active Alaska State LPN License required
- Current AHA BLS Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of LPN experience within specialty required
- Strong clinical and patient assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a healthcare setting
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
