Maintain, clean, and sterilize equipment and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures. + Receive, centrifuge, accession, process and transport specimens. Verify all related records. May draw and collect blood samples according to policy. + Order add-on tests, work pending lists, and resolve duplicate orders. + Perform clerical duties which may include answering phones, reviewing EKGs, collecting patient demographic data for patient registration, ordering tests, reviewing Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage (ABN), data entry and filing. **What minimum requirements you’ll need** Licensure / Certification / Registration: + Preferred Credential(s):• BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.• Certification specializing in Phlebotomy credentialed from the American Society for ClinicalPathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC).• Phlebotomy Tech.• Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board ofCertification (ASCP-BOC).• Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT).• Tech credentialed from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians. All issuing authoritiesaccepted.
