Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PET Scan Technologist for a travel assignment in Santa Maria, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in PET/CT imaging and be comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment.

The technologist will perform PET/CT procedures, ensure patient safety, and collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare staff to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services.

Responsibilities

• Perform PET/CT imaging procedures according to physician orders
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout examinations
• Operate and maintain PET/CT imaging equipment
• Ensure accurate documentation and charting using Cerner
• Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of PET/CT or Nuclear Medicine experience required
• Current BLS Certification required
• Active applicable licensure/certification required
• Experience in acute care setting preferred
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Strong communication and patient care skills
