Job Description
Job Summary:
The Golf Shop Attendant assists in the day-to-day operations of the golf shop. This position is the “first contact” position when members and guests enter the golf shop. The staff member’s responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all.
Essential Job Functions:
- Checking in members and guests utilizing the point-of-sale system. Taking payment via credit card, cash & or member charge.
- Answering phones, taking tee times, and dealing with individual members' and guests' needs.
- Assist a clean and orderly pro shop (folding clothes, vacuuming, cleaning, etc.)
- Maintain a knowledge of facility offerings.
- Assist in monthly inventory counts.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED;
- Golf Knowledge is a plus but not required
- General computer skills
- Customer service experience
Machines/Tools/Equipment:
- Computer-Printer/Scanner-Telephone
Working Conditions:
Primarily office work in a climate-controlled environment. Some outdoor work, with exposure to high temperatures and varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in all weather conditions and SW Florida temperatures.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand, walk and drive
- Able to lift and carry up 50 lbs-
- Able to use his/her upper extremities for repetitive- (Simple Grasping, Pushing/Pulling, Fine Manipulation)

The employee is also expected to perform other duties and functions as required and occasionally assigned.
