Job Description
Are you someone who is reliable and experienced in performing essential maintenance tasks?
Hines Building Maintenance (HBM) is seeking a motivated and hands-on experienced Maintenance Technician I to join our team supporting an independent private school campus.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks across the facility, ensuring optimal operation and safety. This is temporary position with the possibility of turning into a regular full time position. The schedule for this role is Tuesday to Saturday, 12pm-8:30pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine and general maintenance and repairs across the facility buildings and grounds
- Assist with plumbing, light electrical, carpentry, painting , and minor HVAC
- Assist with repairs or installations, such as appliance, drywall, and/or flooring
- Troubleshoot facility issues
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulations during maintenance procedures
- Support campus staff with facility-related concerns in a timely and respectful manner
- Follow all company safety procedures and site protocols

What We Are Looking For (knowledge, skills, abilities)
- 2+ years of facilities, building maintenance, or related field
- Familiarity with basic tools and techniques in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical, or similar trades
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or hard skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work on a school campus setting for effective teamwork and documentation

Preferred Education or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, pull, push 50 pounds, bending, standing, and/or walking for long periods of time
- Must be able to walk up/down stairs
Other Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Clearance of federal background check (Livescan) and tuberculosis (TB) test
