Presser 

New Orleans, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dry Cleaner Presser to join our team. The Presser is responsible for professionally pressing and finishing garments, ensuring they meet high-quality standards before being returned to customers. This role requires experience with pressing equipment, attention to detail, and the ability to handle different types of fabrics with care.

Essential Duties:

• Operate pressing and finishing equipment to remove wrinkles and create a crisp, professional appearance on garments.
• Press a variety of clothing items, including shirts, pants, dresses, suits, and specialty fabrics.
• Ensure all garments meet company quality standards before final inspection.
• Identify stains, damages, or defects in garments and report them to the appropriate team member.
• Adjust heat, steam, and pressure settings according to fabric type and garment instructions.
• Maintain and clean pressing equipment to ensure efficient operation.
• Organize and handle customer orders with accuracy and efficiency.
• Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and speed.
• Follow safety guidelines and proper handling procedures for all equipment and chemicals.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a dry cleaner presser or in a similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of different fabrics and appropriate pressing techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently and meet production goals.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to stand for long periods and handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving garments.
• Team player with good communication skills.

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, including high heat in summer and cold conditions in winter.
• Standing for Long Periods – Must be able to stand, walk, and move continuously for extended shifts (typically 8-12 hours).
• Lifting and Carrying – Frequently lifting heavy objects (often 50+ lbs) and carrying materials across the warehouse.

Education:  

• High school diploma or equivalent
