Corporate Tax Accountant

Our client is an investment management and investment advisory firm. They seek a temp Corporate Tax Accountant to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for corporate entities, partnerships, and investment-related structures
• Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax filings
• Research tax regulations and assess the impact of new legislation on the firm's operations and investment activities
• Assist in tax planning initiatives designed to optimize tax efficiency and support business objectives
• Maintain tax calendars and monitor filing deadlines to ensure compliance
• Reconcile tax accounts and support quarterly and annual tax provision calculations
• Prepare supporting schedules, workpapers, and documentation for audits and regulatory examinations
• Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate tax treatment of transactions and financial reporting
• Monitor nexus, withholding, and state tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions
• Support special projects related to entity structuring, tax compliance, and operational initiatives

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in partnership and individual tax compliance
• Experience with asset management clients, including funds of funds and hedge funds, preferred
• Prior experience at a Big 4 or top 10 accounting firm is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Willingness to work overtime during peak period (August through October 15)
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets
