Dump Truck Driver

Clark and Sons Excavating is looking to hire a full time dump truck driver.

80-90% Jobs are mostly prevailing wage in the NW Oregon and SW Washington Areas.

Core Responsibilities:

• Material Transport: Haul construction aggregates, dirt, asphalt and debris to and from designated locations while ensuring the load is secured and does not exceed legal weight limits.
• Vehicle Inspections: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections (checking oil, brakes, tires, lights, and hydraulic systems).
• Loading & Unloading: Safely operate hydraulic levers and cranks to dump materials, and manually tarp or shovel leftover debris from the truck bed as needed.
• Compliance & Logistics: Maintain accurate driver logs, track material delivery tickets, and strictly adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and traffic laws.
• Communication: Coordinate constantly with dispatchers and site foremen to adjust routes for traffic and ensure timely, accurate deliveries.

Key Qualifications

• Licensing: Valid Class A (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Certifications: Valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (must pass a physical exam) Must pass drug test.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to climb in and out of the cab, walk on uneven terrain, and occasionally assist with manual labor on job sites.
• Experience: Previous experience in the trucking or construction industry is highly preferred.
