A large Logistics company seeks 2 Warehouse Associates / Material Handlers to ensure metal products are properly secured for packing and shipping at their facility in Montebello, CA.

This is a full-time position where you’ll earn $20 an hour and work Monday – Friday from 6:30AM - 3:00PM, plus overtime on Saturdays when needed. This facility has an employee lunchroom for you to use. Plus, you will enjoy weekly pay, direct deposit, and other perks!

As a Warehouse Associate / Material handler, you will be expected to:

• Secure and unsecure all metal materials that the warehouse receives and ships out.
• Block and brace metal products using proper procedures.
• Use oil drum sprayers to oil bar stock materials, as needed.
• Cut inbound seal on container doors, using bolt cutters.
• Cut all metal banding from inbound metal materials on the Load Roll Pallets (LRP’s) and remove carefully to avoid damage.
• Loosen chains and nylon straps and remove from LRP’s and store supplies properly.
• Remove any bulkheads and prepare for return.
• Put all chains and binders into the assigned LRPC (coil LRP).

To qualify for these Warehouse Associate / Material handler positions, you must:

• Have at least 1 year of logistics, metal, transportation, intermodal, or warehousing experience.
• Wear the proper safety attire in the warehouse including steel-toed boots, gloves, long-sleeved shirts, full-length cotton pants, and safety glasses.
• Know how to use hand tools, chains, metal binders, and power saws.
