Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join our team. The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for confidential payroll and accounting functions supporting multiple companies across Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll processing experience, accounting knowledge, payroll tax reporting experience, and the ability to manage sensitive information with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism. This is an on-site position with no remote work option available.

Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll for multiple companies operating in Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee.
  • Prepare and submit weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax filings..
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Process and manage child support payments, wage garnishments, tax levies, and other involuntary wage attachments from start to finish.
  • Perform cash management activities and related accounting functions.
  • Complete year-end payroll processing, including W-2 reporting and payroll reconciliations.
  • Prepare and post general ledger entries related to payroll.
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Assist with general bookkeeping and accounting duties.
  • Maintain confidential employee and payroll records.
  • Support audits and provide payroll-related documentation as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
  • No exceptions will be made to the degree requirement.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-years payroll processing and accounting experience, or a combination of related education and experience.
  • Experience processing payroll taxes and reporting to government agencies.
  • Experience with year-end payroll and general ledger processing.
  • Experience handling child support orders, garnishments, and tax levies.
  • Staff accounting experience preferred

The base salary range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
