Clinic LPN-Satellite
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt
Job Summary/Objective:
Provides primary care nursing support, patient education reinforcement, health care maintenance, and patient care services to patients at Peoples Community Health Clinic in accordance with established protocols, provider orders, and LPN scope of practice. Works with licensed providers and registered nurses to implement nursing care and established care plans. Observes, documents, and reports patient responses or changes in conditions. Assists with the development, implementation, and reinforcement of health education programs and materials under the direction of licensed providers, registered nurses, or clinic leadership in accordance with established protocols and LPN scope of practice. Provides day-to-day guidance and support to Patient Clinical Representatives within their defined roles, competencies, and responsibilities. Escalates patient needs, questions, or clinical situations that require licensed nursing assessment, interpretation, or independent judgement. Performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission of Peoples Community Health Clinic.
Certified Medical Assistant-Satellite
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt
Job Summary/Objective:
The Certified Medical Assistant facilitates quality patient care by providing support to the healthcare team and ensuring a positive patient experience. Under the general supervision of and as delegated by a licensed provider and/or nurse, the CMA performs clinical and administrative duties consistent with their certification, training, and state regulations. Performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission of Peoples Community Health Clinic.

• This position will require the use or disclosure of protected health Information.
• This position will use the Treatment class of protected health information.
• Restrictions on the protected health information for this position will follow the Privacy Policies of Peoples Community Health Clinic, Inc.
• Use or disclosure of protected health information not routinely available to this position will follow procedures assessed by or directed by management.

Work Environment/Personal Protective Equipment:
This position operates in a clinical environment, PPE required as indicated.
Physical Demands:
This position requires occasional sitting –(1%-33% of shift); frequent standing (34% - 66% of shift; occasional walking –(1%-33% of shift); occasional lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs. (1% - 33% of shift); frequent pushing/pulling up to 10 lbs.(34%-66% of shift) and occasionally 11lbs. – 100lbs (1% - 33% of shift); frequent use of hands/arms for repetitive movement and continuous finger dexterity; occasional bending/stooping, twisting, squatting/crouching, and reaching at, below and above shoulder level (1% - 33% of shift).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Typical work hours and days are between Monday and Friday,8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and some flexibility in hours is allowed. Responsibilities occasionally may require irregular hours as deemed necessary. This may include an adjusted work schedule, long days, and early morning or late evening hours in order to meet client scheduling demands. The employee must work a minimum of 40.0 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
Travel:
Occasional driving might be expected for this position.
Education and Experience:
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or completion of Medical Assistant program required.
• Relevant nursing experience preferred.
Licensure and Certificates:
- Current Medical Assistant Certification required
- Current BLS or CPR/First Aid certification
- Mandatory reporter training for child and dependent adult abuse certificate
- Pharmacy Technician certification (or willing to obtain within the first 6-12 months of employment)
