We understand that everyone knows they should exercise, and everyone wants to be fit and healthy. But, that is easier said than done given busy schedules, and in some cases aging or injured bodies. The Exercise Coach® brand was built upon the belief that staying strong and healthy shouldn’t be a hassle!
Members of our team enjoy benefits like:
- Access to state-of-the-art fitness technology
- Company-paid certifications
- Paid for all scheduled hours (not just for training)
- Full-Time employees may be eligible for Paid Vacation and Holidays
The Role of Studio Manager:
As a Studio Manager at The Exercise Coach, your duties will include:
- Studio Culture
- Demonstrate a professional, and helpful attitude toward clients and team members.
- Maintain a cooperative and “team” mentality at all times.
- Hire, Train & Develop Team Members
- Provide prompt, regular, and detailed feedback to team members on personal training, lead follow-up, and promotional sessions
- Be responsible for training, development, and performance of 10 part-time and full-time coaches.
- Create a workable schedule extending at least 4 weeks out, providing coverage for all open hours and maximizing coach productivity
- Personal Development
- Maintain a functional knowledge of fitness-related topics, especially those discussed in corporate communications from the brand.
- Model professionalism and require the same for your team, through appropriate attire, language, attitude, personal hygiene, promptness, honesty, and integrity
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Accurate administration of client accounts, including the completion of all necessary forms, credit card charges, data entry, and clerical duties on a daily basis
- Respond promptly to all email correspondence, phone calls, and text messages from clients, prospects, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Ensure all lead follow-up activities are performed on time and in a correct manner
- Client Acquisition & Retention
- Successfully conduct initial consultations and promotional sessions with prospective clients
- Promptly contact clients who are falling behind in their attendance in accordance with our client retention strategy. Log such activities in a prompt and accurate manner.
- Actively contact former clients in accordance with our re-acquisition strategy.
- Achieve and exceed metrics for number of engaged clients, promo efficacy, and revenue
- Studio Maintenance
- Contribute to and oversee the maintenance of a clean and well-organized studio.
- Notify the owner of any required repairs.
No fitness experience is necessary, but candidates with experience in management, leadership, or in personal training will receive priority consideration. All employees will receive full training in The Exercise Coach methods and technologies and must be able and willing to participate both in our exercise and nutrition methodology.
This role is great for you if you have:
- Passion for Health & Fitness: This is where it all begins!
- Good Communication Skills: You must be comfortable conversing in person and on the phone and know how to conduct yourself professionally, and deliver clear instructions to the clients and to staff. You must be able to convey the value of our services to potential clients and train staff on how to do the same.
- Leadership and personality: This is an exciting studio and you must be able to show your clients energy and excitement while working with them. You must model correct attitude and practices to coaches and be willing to hold them accountable.
- Health and Fitness Education: A college degree in a health-related field is nice, but not required. Fundamental knowledge of exercise science and human biology is essential. You do not need specific personal training experience, but you should have a working knowledge of the human body and the various components of good health and fitness.
