HVAC Duct Installer - $30hr / $100 per diem

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Duct Installer to install, assemble, repair, and maintain HVAC duct systems for residential and/or commercial projects. The ideal candidate has experience reading blueprints, working with sheet metal and flexible duct systems, and ensuring installations meet safety and building code standards. Must pass FDLE background check, must have own power tools/hand tools and must speak English

Key Responsibilities

• Install HVAC ductwork, including sheet metal, fiberglass, and flexible ducts
• Measure, cut, assemble, and secure duct systems according to project specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and technical drawings
• Seal and insulate duct systems to improve energy efficiency
• Inspect existing ductwork for damage, leaks, or inefficiencies
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Collaborate with HVAC technicians, foremen, and construction teams
• Follow OSHA safety regulations and company safety procedures
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in HVAC duct installation or sheet metal work preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and ventilation standards
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces or at heights
• Valid driver’s license may be required

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of local building codes
• Experience with commercial HVAC installations
• Sheet metal fabrication experience
• OSHA certification a plus

Working Conditions

• Indoor and outdoor construction environments
• Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and lifting
• May require overtime or weekend work depending on project schedules
