Traveling HVAC Technician

Required Skills & Experience

- Must live within 30 minutes from a major airport

- Comfortable travelling 80% of the year via airplane (all cost covered)

- 2 years of HVAC Controls Experience

- Experience with PLCs

- Experience with BAS: Building Automation Systems

- Familiar with blueprints

- Computer savvy including Microsoft Excel

- Must have commercial/industrial experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with Medesis

- Experience with CCT: Controller Configuration Tools and SCT: System Configuration Tools

Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire a travelling HVAC Controls Technician to work for a large client. In this role, you will primarily be working at data centers and pharmaceutical clients, but could be working with other clients as well. You will deal with the elements of running through point to points, calibrations, functional and integrated system testing, coordination with the project managers, and more. This role requires a strong understanding of control systems, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure. This position has a high volume of travel (around 80% via airplane). You must be willing to travel via plane and flexible to work long hours if needed. Flight and hotel accommodations are covered by the company

Daily Tasks:

○ Daily startup procedures.

○ Running point-to-point checks (ensuring peripheral devices work with the controller).

○ System startup.

○ Functional testing (executing commissioning scripts).

Communication and coordination with the project manager.
