Our client, a litigation law firm, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute throughout the lifecycle of complex cases, working closely with attorneys in a collaborative, team-oriented setting. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, careful attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Location: Westwood, MA
Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 9DOE)
Schedule: In Office M-F (can be remote if sick, appointments, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation from case inception through trial and appeal.
- Draft, review, proofread, and cite-check legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
- Manage document production, review, and organization, including electronic discovery and database management.
- Conduct legal and factual research using online legal research platforms.
- Coordinate filings in federal and state courts nationwide, including electronic filing procedures.
- Assist with deposition preparation, witness files, exhibit organization, and trial preparation.
- Maintain case calendars and monitor litigation deadlines.
- Coordinate with clients, experts, vendors, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Prepare chronologies, summaries, and case management reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred
- 1 or more years of litigation paralegal experience preferred but can also be someone recently graduated with a political science/legal major.
- Experience with document review platforms and litigation support software is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Professional demeanor and strong client service skills
