This role involves performing mechanical assembly of parts and components in a clean, partially climate-controlled production environment. You will use hand and power tools to build products according to specifications, perform basic quality checks, and follow established safety procedures while working as part of a collaborative production team.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly of parts and components according to work instructions and blueprints.
- Use standard hand tools, including wrenches, and power tools to assemble products safely and efficiently.
- Conduct basic quality checks to ensure assemblies meet required standards and specifications.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working on the production floor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production and safety.
- Stand for extended periods, lift components as needed, and perform repetitive tasks as part of the assembly process.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and resolve basic assembly issues.
- Report any defects, safety concerns, or equipment issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical components.
- Ability to use standard hand tools, including the ability to physically turn a wrench.
- Ability to safely use basic power tools in a production environment.
- Capability to stand for long periods, lift components, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to read and follow basic blueprints or assembly instructions.
- Attention to detail when performing basic quality checks.
- Ability to follow safety procedures consistently.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support coworkers and collaborate.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks and processes.
- Experience in production, mechanical assembly, or related hands-on roles is beneficial.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jefferson City, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.32 - $18.32/hr.
