Title: Occupational Therapist (OT) – Outpatient Rehabilitation
Location: New London, NH
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
Salary: $37.35 - $57.74 per hour (based on experience) + Benefits
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join its Rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an OT who is passionate about helping patients maximize independence and improve quality of life in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.
The ideal candidate will have experience treating a variety of upper extremity, orthopedic, neurological, and post-operative conditions while utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to restore function and prevent disability.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments.
- Utilize evidence-based treatment techniques including:
- Manual therapy
- Neuro-rehabilitation techniques
- Therapeutic exercise
- Functional activity training
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and home exercise programs.
- Collaborate with physicians, rehabilitation staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, Rehabilitation Aides, and students as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with department policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement and continuing education initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Current Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure in New Hampshire.
- Current BLS Certification (AHA).
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills.
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing Occupational Therapy services in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Experience treating:
- Orthopedic conditions
- Neurological impairments
- Degenerative conditions
- Post-surgical rehabilitation patients
- Familiarity with evidence-based rehabilitation practices.
