Job Title: Press Brake Operator – 2nd Shift (2:30pm to 11:00pm)

Job Description

This role operates press brake equipment to produce precise metal parts and components according to detailed drawings and work instructions. You will set up, run, and inspect production parts, ensuring they meet strict quality standards while maintaining a safe and organized work area on the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

  • Operate press brake equipment in accordance with established procedures, safety guidelines, and production standards.
  • Learn to perform complete press brake setups independently and run production parts from start to finish.
  • Select and install the correct tools and tooling configurations for each job, including making necessary machine adjustments.
  • Follow work instructions and read drawings to position, secure, and operate machinery accurately.
  • Form and bend sheet metal parts to the required drawing specifications, ensuring dimensional accuracy and consistency.
  • Use precision measuring devices to verify the accuracy of finished products and confirm they meet specification requirements.
  • Conduct physical self-inspection of parts throughout the production process to ensure consistent quality.
  • Maintain accurate records related to production, quality checks, and job documentation as required.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe, following all housekeeping and safety practices.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and meet production deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency to complete tasks on time while maintaining high quality standards.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a related manufacturing or metal fabrication role.
  • Experience operating press brake equipment, CNC press brake, or similar machine operation in a fabrication environment.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and blueprints to produce parts to specification.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring devices to verify part dimensions and quality.
  • Basic experience with sheet metal fabrication, press brake, punch press, and CNC operations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a production team.
  • Willingness to follow work instructions and established procedures consistently.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality.
  • Aptitude for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Quality-conscious mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs using proper ergonomic techniques.
  • Ability to work primarily in a standing position for six or more hours per day, with occasional sitting as needed.

  • Self-motivated approach with a strong desire to learn and master press brake setups and operations.

Work Environment

This position works on the 2nd shift, typically from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment, machinery, and associated noise levels. You will primarily work in a standing position for six or more hours per day, with some duties performed while seated for short periods. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs using proper ergonomic techniques and to handle sheet metal and fabricated parts safely. The facility features excellent upkeep and lighting, as well as modern production support tools such as interactive diagrams and digital work instructions in every department. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, supporting efficient and comfortable day-to-day operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
