Extrusion Technician

A company in Rittman is hiring an Extrusion Technicians to support plastics manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for dependable individuals who enjoy hands‑on work, operating machinery, and maintaining quality production standards.

This position represents the mid‑level range of extrusion skills and offers on‑the‑job training for motivated candidates.

Available Shifts & Pay

• 1st Shift: 6:00AM- 2:00 PM | $15.50/hour
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM | $16.00/hour
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM | $16.50/hour

Position Overview

As an Extrusion Technician, you will prepare and operate extrusion equipment used to produce plastic materials such as bars, rods, tubing, and other shaped products. You'll monitor production, ensure quality standards are met, and help keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate extrusion machinery
• Sort and handle raw plastic materials
• Set up, adjust, test, and monitor equipment
• Ensure correct product size, shape, and quality
• Inspect finished products and report defects
• Clean tools and equipment and perform basic maintenance
• Follow workplace safety and quality standards
• Maintain an organized and efficient work area

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED required
• Manufacturing or extrusion experience is a plus, but not required
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Basic math and measuring skills
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods
• Strong work ethic and dependability
• Willingness to learn through hands‑on training
