Job Description
Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a lasting difference in the classroom by supporting elementary students as an Educational Technician. This contract position provides the opportunity to work with K-5 learners in a life skills-based curriculum, helping nurture independence and personal growth. Enjoy a consistent schedule (32 hours per week, full-time equivalent) across the academic year, from August 2026 to June 2027.
What you’ll need to bring:
- Current Educational Technician II or III certification (required)
- Experience or strong interest in supporting life skills instruction for K-5 students
- A collaborative mindset for working with teachers and specialized staff
- Compassionate approach to providing individualized student support
- Reliability and enthusiasm for being present throughout the school year
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting small groups and individual students in life skills activities
- Assisting lead teachers in classroom management, curriculum implementation, and adapting activities to meet student needs
- Helping track student progress and record key observations
- Encouraging engagement, social-emotional growth, and independence among young learners
- Collaborating with the educational team to ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive environment
