About who needs care: Companion caregiver needed in Arlington, VA, for a 50-year-old woman with TBI and Type 1 diabetes. Provide cognitive engagement, routine support, reminders, and light household help (meal prep, laundry). 10-15 hours/week to start. Patient, reliable, and consistent; weekends may be required. About the care needs: Knowledge of TBI and Type 1 Diabetes is a plus, but not mandatory; we can teach how to manage diabetes and what to watch for. The family lives in the house but needs additional support when working or attending events; the patient does not want to attend. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
