Position Overview:

Sorinex is hiring a CNC Laser Operator / CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing and production team. This individual will operate CNC laser cutting (plate laser) equipment to produce precise, high-quality metal components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This position is ideal for candidates with experience in CNC machining, laser cutting, CNC operation, or industrial manufacturing, as well as mechanically inclined individuals looking to learn and grow. On-the-job training is available for the right candidate.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC laser cutting machines (plate laser) safely and efficiently
• Load, run, and manage CNC programs for production jobs
• Set up and adjust CNC machines for optimal performance
• Perform basic troubleshooting and routine machine maintenance
• Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and tolerances
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs)
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts
• Safely handle and move materials throughout the manufacturing facility (up to 50+ lbs.)
• Support forklift operation and material handling tasks as needed
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain production documentation
• Meet daily production goals and deadlines
• Maintain a clean and safe manufacturing workspace

Requirements:

• Experience in CNC machining, CNC operation, laser cutting, or manufacturing preferred
• Previous experience as a machine operator, CNC operator, laser operator, CNC machinist, or forklift operator is a plus
• Mechanically inclined with willingness to learn
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• High attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work independently and meet production goals

Physical Demands:

• Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 1-50 lbs. frequently
• Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently
• Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours per day
• Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing
