Phoenix, Arizona Obstetrics and Gynecology Locum Tenens Opportunity

Extremely busy obstetrics and gynecology center in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a high-volume practice handling approximately 6,000 births annually, requiring dedicated in-house OB and GYN coverage with rounding, labor management, delivery, and potential GYN surgery. Providers must be prepared for dynamic clinical scenarios within a fast-paced environment.

Opportunity Highlights

• Obstetrics and Gynecology locum tenens opportunity
• Coverage needed for June, July, and August, approximately 8 days per month
• In-house coverage for OB and GYN
• High-volume practice: approximately 6,000 births per year
• Rounding, labor management, delivery, and possible GYN procedures
• Potential beeper call from home from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• In-hospital shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with flexibility to stay full 24 hours if labor and delivery are busy

Schedule Details

• In-house coverage from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• On-call: Beeper call from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. (may require return to hospital for OB, GYN, or ED patients during this time)
• Coverage dates: June, July, August, about 8 days each month

Clinical Scope

• In-hospital OB and GYN clinical management
• Labor and delivery management
• Rounding and patient assessment
• GYN surgical procedures as needed
• Management of labor, postpartum, and GYN emergencies
• Documentation within hospital EMR

Requirements

• MD degree
• Active and unrestricted Arizona medical license
• Clean NPDB report, malpractice insurance, and background check
• Ability to be in-house from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Flexibility for 24-hour coverage when needed
• Experience with high-volume obstetric and gynecologic practice preferred
