Corpus Christi, Texas Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Texas licensed Emergency Medicine physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in multiple hospital-based sites across the Corpus Christi Medical Center system. This role provides an excellent chance to work in varied emergency department settings with an emphasis on efficiency in high-acuity cases and procedural skills.

Opportunity Highlights

• Emergency Medicine locum tenens role
• Multiple site coverage in the Greater Corpus Christi area
• Shift hours: 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 6 a.m.
• On-site coverage, no call requirements
• EMR: Meditech
• Experience with high-acuity cases, trauma, OB deliveries, and procedures required

Clinical Scope

• Managing a full range of emergency presentations including trauma, strokes, ST-segment elevation myocardial infarctions, OB deliveries, dislocations, and chest tube placements
• Procedures: intubations, central line placement, ultrasound use, trauma management, laceration repair, dislocation reductions
• Evaluation, stabilization, and disposition of high-acuity patients
• Collaboration with APPs at each site, with coverage times varying from 9 to 24 hours daily

Requirements

• Active Texas medical license
• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine with ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, or equivalent
• At least 2 years of emergency department experience, preferably in high-acuity settings or FSEDs
• Case logs available and required for credentialing
• Proficiency in procedures such as intubations, central lines, ultrasound, and trauma management
