Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking emergency medicine providers for ongoing locum tenens coverage across multiple facilities in Texas. These sites handle high-acuity cases with procedures such as intubation, central line placement, trauma management, OB deliveries, and dislocation reductions, all within a fast-paced environment. The role involves scheduled 12-hour shifts with no call duties, supporting diverse patient populations including elderly, rural, and urban communities.

Practice Environment
Facilities range from 8 to 18 beds, with patient census averaging 45 to 80 daily across sites. Some locations are designated Level IV trauma centers, others handle high-acuity emergency cases without trauma designation. Support includes APP coverage from 9 to 24 hours daily, ensuring physician efficiency in managing trauma, cardiac, stroke, OB, and orthopedic emergencies.

Clinical Scope

• Management of high-acuity emergency cases across multiple sites
• Procedures including intubation, central line placement, ultrasound-guided interventions, OB deliveries, trauma care, dislocation reductions, chest tube insertions, and laceration repairs
• Care for diverse patient populations: elderly, rural, nursing home residents, and younger urban patients
• Handling multiple consults daily in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Active Texas medical license
• DEA registration
• Board certification (ABEM preferred; ABFM or ABIM with ER experience acceptable)
• Minimum of 2 years emergency medicine experience
