About this job

We are hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a contract role in Stockton, CA at a skilled nursing facility. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain functional skills needed for daily living. Candidates should be prepared to work in a long-term care environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient-centered treatment plans.


Minimum Requirements

  • Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college.
  • Active California COTA license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience working in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation settings preferred.
  • Ability to follow established treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior travel therapy or contract experience preferred.
  • Experience with cognitive and ADL retraining, restorative programs, and adaptive equipment.
  • Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Shift Hours: 0800-1630.
  • Work Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (facility may schedule across these days).
  • Guaranteed weekly hours: 35.
  • Candidate should be prepared to float to other local facilities if required.
