Join our team as an experienced Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment in Bethel, AK. In this role, you will perform specialized breast imaging examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease for patients across the lifespan. You will contribute to efficient department operations and ensure continuity and quality of patient care. Duties may include front desk or clerical responsibilities as needed and collaboration with radiologists and attending physicians for imaging evaluations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography (ARRT-M) certification.
- Minimum 2 years of mammography technologist experience.
- BLS certification.
- Experience performing imaging examinations for all ages, including newborn through geriatric patients.
- Ability to corroborate clinical history with procedures and determine need for follow-up (mammography, lung cancer screening, bone density, selected sonography exams).
- Experience assessing patient condition and ensuring patient safety, including pregnancy assessment and proper use of restraints/support devices.
- Ability to read charts, gather pertinent lab values, and communicate imaging findings to radiologists and attending physicians.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in hospital or acute care settings.
- Prior experience performing additional modalities such as bone density or limited sonography exams preferred.
