About this job

Make a real difference as a travel PTA in Lamar, CO. You will work with patients recovering from injuries or illness, helping them move better, feel better, and stay active under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will implement components of interventions, obtain intervention-related data, and modify selected interventions to progress the patient or ensure safety as directed by the Physical Therapist. The PTA assists in treatment across the lifespan in inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings and reports to the Rehabilitation Manager.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Active Colorado PTA license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Required: Inpatient experience.
  • Ability to work with patients across all ages and care settings including inpatient and outpatient.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in hospital settings preferred.
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Shift Hours: 0800–1700.
  • Shift Pattern: Monday through Friday, five 8-hour shifts per week.

Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Support rehabilitation across inpatient and outpatient settings. Contribute to measurable functional gains and improved mobility for patients of all ages. Report to the Rehabilitation Manager and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient safety and progress.
