About this job
We’re seeking an experienced CT Tech for a permanent role with an area healthcare client where you’ll be responsible for accurately interpreting a physician’s scanning instructions, skillfully administering contrast materials, and expertly operating CT scan equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Required certifications: Current ARRT (N) and ARRT (CT) with State Nuclear Medicine License, or current ARRT (R) certification.
- BLS certification.
- Venipuncture certification/permit.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: 1 year experience preferred as a CT Technologist. Experience performing PET/CT procedures, operating PET scanners, and administering contrast preferred.
- Ability to start IVs and operate power injectors for contrast administration.
- Experience with image quality evaluation and PACS transmission.

Position Details:
- Facility type: Outpatient imaging center.
- City: Belleville, NJ.
- Shift: Days. Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.
- Perform complex, specialized tasks associated with PET/PET-CT scanners following radiation safety procedures.
- Position patients for PET scans using immobilization and protective equipment as needed.
- Assist radiologist with imaging and interventional procedures, including starting IVs and administering contrast when required.
- Evaluate PET/CT images for technical quality, collate processed images, and transmit to PACS.
- Provide orientation and training to new PET/PET-CT technologists.
- Maintain accurate patient records and provide for patients’ psychological and physical needs during imaging.
