Computed Tomography Technologist – Full Time - Now Hiring

We’re seeking an experienced CT Tech for a permanent role with an area healthcare client where you’ll be responsible for accurately interpreting a physician’s scanning instructions, skillfully administering contrast materials, and expertly operating CT scan equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred as a CT Technologist.
• Completion of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program in Radiology.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification. State licensure may be required by state regulations.
• ARRT (CT) certification may be required depending on state regulations.
• BLS certification as required by state regulations.
• Experience performing CT procedures, administering contrast, operating power injectors, and assisting radiologists with imaging and interventional procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment in accordance with radiation safety procedures.
• Positions patients using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
• Assists radiologists with imaging and interventional procedures, starts IVs, and injects contrast when needed.
• Evaluates CT scans for technical quality, collates processed images in sequence, and transmits to PACS.
• Administers and monitors contrast media safely and effectively, including operating power injectors.
• Maintains accurate patient records and documents any over-exposures, advising management immediately.
• Provides orientation and training to new CT technologists.
• Monitors patient well-being during scans, recognizes discomfort or medical issues, and takes appropriate action.
• Applies ALARA principles to minimize patient radiation dose and adjusts imaging parameters to produce high quality images.
• Treats patients, families, and care providers with courtesy, professionalism, and respect.
• Performs related duties incidental to the work.
