Commercial Construction Superintendent 1

Jefferson, La: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Superintendent 1 to support commercial construction projects through field coordination, scheduling, subcontractor management, and daily jobsite operations. This is an entry-to-mid level superintendent role focused on project execution, field leadership, safety, and quality control. Candidates should have strong commercial construction field experience and the ability to manage multiple jobsite activities in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties:

• Oversee daily jobsite operations, subcontractors, manpower, and project sequencing
• Maintain project schedules and weekly 3-week lookaheads
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
• Coordinate RFIs, inspections, equipment, and site logistics
• Lead subcontractor coordination and pre-work planning meetings
• Maintain jobsite safety and support field quality control efforts
• Track daily reports, labor, photos, and project documentation
• Coordinate project closeout and punch list activities
• Work closely with Project Managers, field crews, and subcontractors

Requirements/Skills:

• Minimum 3 years of commercial construction field management experience
• OSHA 30 Certification required
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices and safety standards
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
• Experience with scheduling, manpower planning, and subcontractor coordination
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and project management software
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and work on active construction sites for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to communicate effectively with field and office personnel
