Job: Yard Laborer

Location: Jackson, WI

Shift: 1st - 7:30am - 3:30pm M-F

Pay: $20.00 / Hour

A Yard Laborer will perform a variety of general labor tasks to support the yard and mechanic shop needs.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D.; two years or more of technical auto mechanic training or equivalent experience preferred.
Consistent work history
Mechanical aptitude and experience preferred.
Ability to drive a forklift preferred.
Ability to operate various trucks and light, medium and heavy equipment and tools; hand tools, automotive lifts and other hydraulic equipment (for purposes of repair and maintenance) preferred.
Significant attention to safety standards, procedures, and practices.
Rapid response and accurate problem solving in emergency repair situations.
Prioritization of repair issues.
Problem identifying and solving skills and ability to explain those problems/solutions to vehicle/equipment users.

Physical Demands

Must lift 70 lbs. from floor to waist, 90 lbs. from waist to chest, and 25 lbs. from chest to above head.
Must carry 50 lbs. for 50 ft., push a 100-lb. wheeled cart for 100 ft., and drag 50 lbs. for 100 ft.
Use hands to handle and feel; stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed.
