Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures. The clinician will prepare the operating room, sterilize and set up equipment, assist with instrumentation and device use, and support the surgical team to promote patient safety and efficient case flow.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a certified OR Tech / Surgical Technologist in a surgical environment.
- Required clinical experience: neuro and ortho cases, robotics experience, and comfort with a broad variety of general, GYN, GU, ortho, neuro, plastics, ENT, thoracic, endoscopy, and trauma cases.
- Experience with da Vinci robotic systems, O-arm, and other advanced OR equipment preferred.
- Experience using Epic charting system preferred.
- Driver's license required at time of submittal to confirm radius eligibility.
- Must meet the client radius rule: candidate cannot be employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and Dignity) and must be within the allowable radius as determined by the client.
Preferred Qualifications
- CST certification preferred but not required.
- Prior experience with trauma plastics, vascular access procedures, and organ procurement preferred.
- Previous call team experience preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift pattern: 5x8 schedule with additional weekday call and rotating weekend call.
- Typical shift start times noted: 0630 (options include approximate end times aligning with 8- or 12-hour rotations).
- Call requirements: weekly 1–4 hour call after a shift; weekend call rotation approximately every 5 weeks with alternating 12-hour first/second call teams.
- Orientation: 12 hours.
- Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week.
- Floating: No floating outside of the OR.
- Scrubs: Green scrubs provided by the hospital.
