Our client, a leader in industrial machinery, is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be part of the Service Department supporting customers across the region. The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills, independence, and excellent communication which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Field Service Technician (Powder Metal Machines)
Location: Detroit, MI (Home-based, travel role)
Pay Range: $29 – $40/hour (depending on experience)
What’s the Job?
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, and repair of powder coat machine systems (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic)
- Prioritize, schedule, and complete field service work for customers
- Conduct preventative maintenance and support development of maintenance schedules
- Prepare and submit service documentation to support accurate and timely invoicing
- Travel up to 90% (overnight as needed) to customer sites while maintaining company equipment and vehicle

- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
- Proven diagnostic and technical troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness and ability to travel overnight up to 90%
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
