CNC Machinist (1st Shift) — Temp-to-Hire

Company: Aerospace MFG Company — global provider of manufacturing and engineering services delivering engineered/structural solutions for complex aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.

Location: South Bay 
Schedule: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (plus OT)
Pay: $20.00–$28.00/hr

Role Summary

Operate and set up CNC multi-axis equipment to machine production parts to blueprint/specification in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate Multi-Axis CNC equipment, including Vertical/Gantry/Horizontal Rotary (4th) Axis Mills, CNC lathes/routers, and/or 5-Axis core mills
• Set up machines, adjust as needed, and verify part conformity to prints/specs
• Independently select proper tooling for setups and operations
• Set up tools and use precision measuring equipment
• Set up machines using furnished jigs and fixtures to machine production parts

Qualifications

• Experience running CNC Multi-Axis machines, CNC lathes/routers, and/or 5-Axis core mills
• Demonstrated use of manual machining/honing/grinding equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/specifications
• Mechanical aptitude and strong common-sense troubleshooting skills
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must pass background check and drug screen
