Ascension Seton-Hayes6001 Kyle ParkwayKyle, TX 78640Work day Fri/Sat/SunHours 7a to 7pJob Summary: Delivers professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or otherinvasive procedures.Responsibilities: Performs scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used duringprocedure. Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition andmanaging overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure. Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and woundexposure as well as patient positioning. Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.Complexity of Work: Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimalsupervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Minimum QualificationsLicensure / Certification / Registration: Required Credential(s): Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date. One or more of the following: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted.Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time ofhire.
