Do you enjoy cooking and serving others in a meaningful way? Fairmount Homes is looking for a compassionate and dependable Cook to join our Dining Services Team! This full-time position supports our skilled nursing and personal care residents by preparing quality meals in a fun, team-oriented environment.

Position Details

• Full Time – 40 hours/week
• Includes every other weekend
• Combination of early and evening shifts

Pay & Differentials

• $21.10 – $22.80/hour
• +$1.00/hour evening shift differential
• +$1.25/hour weekend shift differential

What You’ll Do

As a Cook at Fairmount, you will:

• Prepare meals according to standardized recipes and dietary needs
• Ensure food quality, nutritional standards, and safe food temperatures
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards
• Assist with kitchen cleaning and equipment care
• Support special events and catering functions
• Interact with residents during mealtimes
• Help create a welcoming dining experience
• Provide guidance to Dining Services team members in the absence of the Lead Cook

Qualifications

• Experience with large quantity food preparation preferred
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
• Basic culinary math skills
• Strong hospitality mindset and genuine desire to serve others
• Professional appearance and commitment to teamwork
