Job Description:
The CT Technologist is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatient settings under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. The role includes performing basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services. The CT Technologist demonstrates proficiency in routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures including CT of head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans and procedures while assisting physicians and radiologists.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
- Maintain high quality of images produced.
- Responsible for availability and sterility of equipment and supplies used.
- Conduct special procedures, angiographic procedures, and related quality control monitoring.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience required.
- Completion of at least 1 previous travel assignment successfully.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- State licensure as a general radiographer.
- BLS certification required.
- ARRT(CT) preferred but not required.
- Preferred experience with Cerner and/or Change Healthcare PACs.
