Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will perform both screening and diagnostic mammograms, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care. This role is crucial in assisting physicians with early detection and diagnosis of breast abnormalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Ensure proper positioning and imaging techniques to produce optimal images for radiologist interpretation.
- Educate patients on the procedure, ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain and operate mammography equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Accurately document patient history and maintain records following HIPAA and facility guidelines.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements for quality assurance and control.
Qualifications:
- ARRT (R)(M) certification required.
- NJ State licensure
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mammography.
- Strong knowledge of mammographic positioning and imaging techniques.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Client equipment is preferred.
