Job Opportunity – Ultrasound Technologist – Missoula, Montana
Start Date: June 22, 2026
Location: Missoula, Montana
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Variable shifts with rotation through three imaging areas; includes occasional weekends and 1-3 nights of on-call per week with 30-minute callback time
Highlights:
- Short-term acute care teaching facility with Level II Trauma designation and 209 staffed beds
- Rotate through three specialized areas: inpatient/ER/vascular/procedures, outpatient/breast ultrasound, and obstetrics
- Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
- Daily census of 8-10 patients with 1:1 ratio; float opportunities between units
- Scrubs provided in sterile units; no parking fees
- Comprehensive patient population including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of ultrasound technologist experience required
- ARDMS, BLS, and RDCS-RVT certifications required
- ARDMS AB, ARDMS BR, and ARDMS OB/GYN certifications preferred
- Valid Montana state license or compact license required at time of submission
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Proficiency in abdominal, vascular, breast, and obstetric ultrasound studies
- Experience with arterial and venous Doppler studies, portable exams, and ultrasound-guided procedures
- Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
- Compliance documentation must be completed by Monday prior to start date
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius (local candidates considered at adjusted rate)
