FLSA STATUS: Full-Time Non-Exempt, hourly rate

PRIMARY FUNCTION:



The Site Director is responsible for the daily operations of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula (BGCOP) school site at Roosevelt Elementary School, including oversight of the USDA food service program administered by BGCOP. The primary focus of this role is to deliver comprehensive, outcome-driven programs that promote academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character in a safe, engaging environment. The Site Director supervises, trains, and supports site staff and volunteers; addresses personnel matters; manages overall site operations; and fosters strong, collaborative relationships with school partners and families.



KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):



  1. Program Oversight Plan, implement, and evaluate youth development programs to ensure they meet organizational goals and positively impact members.
  2. Staff Supervision Recruit, train, manage, and support a team of staff and volunteers to maintain high performance and a safe, supportive environment.
  3. Facility Management Oversee the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring the building and equipment are safe, clean, and well-maintained.
  4. Budget and Financial Management Develop and manage the sites budget, monitor expenses, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  5. Community and Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain relationships with schools, community partners, and parents to strengthen support and outreach.
  6. Compliance and Safety Ensure all activities and operations comply with BGCOP standards, procedures, and safety policies to protect youth and staff.
  7. Strategic Planning and Implementation Contribute to the development and execution of short- and long-term strategic plans for the site, aligning goals with the overall mission of BGCOP and evaluating progress toward key performance indicators.
  8. Partnership and Resource Development Identify, cultivate, and manage community partnerships to expand resources, enhance programming, and increase community impact.



ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Work with staff to carry out field trips in all program areas.
  2. Exercise authority in problems relating to members; utilize guidance and discipline plan.
  3. Assume other duties as assigned.



RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with BGCOP professional staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, discuss issues, and provide/receive information. Maintain contact with Administration. Regular contact with members as needed to mentor, discipline, advise, and counsel.

External: Maintain contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents, guardians and others to assist in resolving problems and to publicize BGCOP.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
  • Boys & Girls Club or similar organization work experience planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to recruit, train, supervise and motivate staff
  • Ability to deal effectively with members including behavioral problems
  • Working knowledge of budget preparation, control and management
  • Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents and community partners.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

May require occasional lifting. Must be able to drive Club vehicles. Long periods of standing may be necessary.
