Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift, 4x10 contract requiring ARRT (CT & Radiography), CA licensure, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting.
Details
- Acute care hospital CT department serving a diverse patient population including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including high-risk and critically ill patients
- Performs CT examinations, CT-guided procedures, venipuncture, and contrast media administration
- Proficiency with PACS for image transmission, archiving, and retrieval is required
- Night shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, Thursday through Sunday, 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience in an acute care facility
- ARRT (Radiography) and ARRT (CT) required upon hire
- CA CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) license required — license required if applicable
- IV/Venipuncture Certification required upon hire
- BLS (Healthcare Provider) required upon hire
- RHF (Radiology Fluoroscopy permit) required within 180 days of hire
- Graduate of a Joint Commission-approved School of Radiologic Technology; Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, technical factors, radiation safety, and safe contrast/medication administration
Additional Information
- Protocol and coordinate CT examinations per physician order, clinical history, and established department guidelines
- Responsible for accurate charge capture, documentation in the EHR, and ensuring proper image transmission and storage via PACS
- Assess patients prior to exams, educate patients on procedures, and address patient concerns to ensure safety and cooperation
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved during the contract
- Two supervisor references obtained within the past year are required for consideration
- Copies of all certifications are required for consideration
